Reasons for the ‘Dismal’ Drop in Spring Home Selling Season

The spring home selling season has disappointed. Brad Hunter covers builders losing confidence, falling prices, and the “dismal” drop in buyers. The “lock-in effect” of lower mortgages is holding strong, and he doesn’t expect rates to fall substantially in the near future. Florida and Texas “have seen the worst of it,” he adds, with buyers aged 55+ nervous about the stock market, but thinks they can bounce back.
