Scott Mushkin highlights trends in discount retailers. He thinks the Dollar General (DG) earnings report tomorrow will be “fine,” but he is concerned about its outlook. He cites everything from competitors like Walmart (WMT) and Amazon (AMZN) to RFK Jr.’s MAHA push as worries into 2026. Scott is also more on the concerned side for Five Below (FIVE), citing their mix of merchandise and the “shrinking demographic” of their customers.
