U.S. stock futures are mixed ahead of the Wall Street open as oil prices rise and Apple (AAPL) shares are under pressure post earnings.

The moves come after stocks gave up early session gains on Monday to finish mostly lower. Despite an earnings beat, Apple shares are down over 3% in premarket trading with tightening profit margins overshadowing an upbeat sales forecast.

Palantir (PLTR) shares are also under pressure despite beating earnings estimate. Palantir’s U.S. commercial revenue topped government for the first time as businesses adopt more of the company’s artificial intelligence tools.

Oil prices are up about 1% near $97 a barrel after falling over 7% on Monday. The United States struck Iran’s Qeshm Island overnight, The Wall Street Journal reported. Investor focus will be on earnings fallout today along with the mid-term elections.
