U.S. stock futures are slightly higher ahead of the Wall Street open as positive trade news continues to lift equities. The moves come after the S&P 500 (SPX) and Nasdaq-100 (NDX) settled at another record high close on Monday.

The busiest week for earnings kicks off in earnest this morning with investors poring over results from Boeing (BA), PayPal (PYPL), Spotify (SPOT), and UPS (UPS), among others.

Traders will also focus on the upcoming FOMC announcement tomorrow afternoon and economic data including Consumer Confidence, JOLTS and home prices.

• VIX – The CBOE Volatility Index rose 0.7% on Monday and settled at 15.03 as stocks were lower. VIX is falling near 5-month lows ahead of the open.
• U.S. Dollar (/DX) – The dollar is slightly higher, reaching 98.7.
